Casablancas Sets Out On His Own (Originally published August 11, 2009)

The Strokes are awesome.  I love all three of their albums and am very excited they are writing their fourth at the moment.  I recently read about a well-kept secret: lead singer Julian Casablancas is set to release a solo album this fall called Phrazes For The Young and will tour in support of it.  This is a cool interview where he talks a little about his inspirations and also looks like a slightly less manly Joan Jett.
