Band Pimping: Dirty Projectors (Originally published September 23, 2009)

This semester I started a job at my college’s radio station as a DJ.  Since it’s my first semester doing it, I don’t get to play whatever I want; instead, I have to choose from certain current and classic tracks to play.  I haven’t heard much of the music I’m asked to play, so it’s been a great environment for me to get more current with my music listening.  During my shift yesterday, I picked up a copy of Dirty Projectors’ new album, Bitte Orca, and decided to play the song “Cannibal Resource.”  I’d heard some hype about the band from somewhere or other, and I’m here to tell you they are, in fact, very good.  So, without further ado, here’s the song.
